Real Time MLM Leads - What's The Scoop?

You've probably heard from several network marketers how good their response has been when calling Real Time MLM Leads as opposed to leads that are a few days, a few weeks or even several months old. The only thing better than a Real Time MLM Lead would be a company specific real time lead.  

Many marketers get scared off at the thought of generating their own leads when really there is only 1 essential tool required. It's called a lead capture page and it's the exact same tool that ANY Real Time lead generator would be using to generate the very same leads that you would normally be purchasing from them.

The MLM leads companies have you over a barrel and the only way you can fight back is to cut them out of the equation and simply generate your own Real Time leads it's really not that hard when you have the right tools.

2. Advertising, Advertising & More Advertising.

The only major difference between you running your own lead generation campaign compared to the lead generator is the amount of advertising that would be sent. Obviously the leads company has a bigger budget to work with but if you do decide to venture out and generate your own real time leads you do have a major advantage that most MLM lead companies don't have.

I's called quality control. Listen to this... When a lead generator decides to generate their next batch of real-time mlm leads they go out and advertises their lead capture pages on a very massive scale. Make nomistake about it they are going for Quantity of leads not necessarily Quality and that is a really important factor to think about. 

Although some people may not think so the lead quality is directly related to the advertisement (lead capture page) that the prospect originally responded to. If they responded to an ad about some of the most basic benefits of owning a home business such as time freedom and residual income then guess what?

The lead generated from that type of generic advertisement is a generic home business lead nothing more nothing less no matter how much sugar coating the lead retailer wants to put on it. Just because a lead is a Real Time lead doesn't automatically make it a good lead. You have NO idea what advertisement these leads responded to. You have NO idea what type of business the generic real time mlm leads are looking for.

The lead retailer knows in order to make the most amount of money possible from every lead that they generate the leads need to be workable by a broad scope of network marketers hence why they keep them generic and not selling the benefits of any one particular company or product.

Unfortunately the lead may not be so open to such a broad scope of business opportunities being pitched at them. And herein lies the advantage for the do it yourself lead generator.

You have the control to generate leads so targeted and specific for your opportunity that it really doesn't matter how many you generate they are going to convert to sales at some point because these are leads who have raised their hand and requested more information about your very specific offer.

The type of lead you generate is directly related to the capture page you are advertising. If you are advertising a lead capture page that sells the benefits of a unique health and wellness product along with some of the benefits of that specific opportunity then you will be generating a lead that is specific to your company. You really cannot get much targeted than that can you?

Obviously when running your own real time lead generation campaign you will be dealing with less prospects because you have refined your marketing approach to a very select market. Your chance of actually connecting with someone and making that sale is much greater because the lead has been laser targeted to your specifications, they are real-time fresh and totally exclusive to you.

If you're looking to spend your money on real time MLM leads for your opportunity then you really should consider the benefits to generating your own company specific real time leads. You'll spend less time sorting and more time selling!

How to Generate Network Marketing or MLM Leads

 If there’s one thing you need in order to succeed with MLM/Network Marketing its leads. Without leads, you’ll never make much money regardless of your company, the pay plan, your upline or anything else.

You’re also going to need a lot of leads since there’s no way you’ll sign every one to be an agent. How many you’ll need depends on several factors such as your skill and your business. Not to mention; if you have a lot of leads, you won’t have to feel like you have to sign every one.

It’s a lot easier to say No to having someone that doesn’t match what you’re looking for if you have 20-30 people waiting on your call. There are other factors involved in succeeding, but if you have leads and use them, that’s a large hurdle passed.

This article aims to give you a few ideas on how to generate those leads and make it as simple as possible. I don’t really like the term “Lead” since they’re really just people like you and me who are looking for a better life; but we’ll use the term for this article since that’s a commonly excepted term and to prevent confusion.

Let’s go over a few ways you can generate MLM leads.

Call everyone you know and ask for referrals.
Tell them about the great business you have and how they can benefit from either being a customer or agent. If you’ve chosen wisely and believe in your company, you won’t see a problem with this. If you aren’t sure you have a great business, maybe you should keep looking.

A great way to decide if you have a good company is to ask yourself if you’d sign up your best friend or valued member of your family. Or ask yourself if you’d use the product if there was no pay plan involved. If the answer is No, maybe you should keep looking.

Build lead capture pages and get them listed high on search engines.
This will generate leads that are interested in your company. However, anyone who has worked at getting a site listed high will tell you this is time consuming and far from easy and it’s not an overnight job either. You could spend months working on your site and never break the top 100.

You can advertise your lead capture page on Pay Per Click (PPC) search engines.
The largest sites are Google and Yahoo. These are the ads that show up at the top or on the right when you search. This is the fastest way and depending on the key words you’re bidding on could be cheap or very expensive (some keywords cost over 100 bucks) and there’s no guarantee you’ll get a single lead.

It only guarantees that someone will see your page. If you’re going to go this route, do yourself a favor and either get trained on how to do it or start slow or both. You can easily blow hundreds or thousands of dollars before you know it.

You can print flyers and post them on bulletin boards around town and put them on doors and cars.
If you figure a 1-2% success rate, you’ll get 1-2 leads per hundred flyers and then depending on your closing rate, you can figure out how many flyers you’ll need to hand out consistently to reach your goals.

Also figure in printing costs. Even if you’re printing these at home, you’ll have to pay for ink/toner and the wear and tear on your printer, not to mention the time and gas it takes to drive around and post the flyers. You should also get permission from property owners/managers if you’re going to put them on doors or cars since some people will throw them on the ground. One other thing to be wary about is car alarms.

You can spam the world with one of those e-mail 16 million people for 29.95 spam messages you get every week.
Do us both a favor and don’t. The best you can hope for is to not get blacklisted or in trouble with the feds. The odds are that you’ll be visited by the feds and/or have your ISP shut you down. The way these are collected is by sending a little robot spider to crawl the web and collect e-mail addresses from forums, news groups, blogs, web sites and anywhere else they can find them.

These are just bad news and may get you kicked out of your company since they could be black listed because you didn’t follow this advice. An easy way to tell if they are real leads or harvested is the price. If they’re unbelievably cheap or don’t include i.p. address, they are probably harvested.

Cold Calling
This is just as it sounds. You pick up the phone book and start calling. This is the cheapest way to generate leads and if you have a thick skin may work for you. The thing to remember is that those people may be on the Do Not Call List and it may get you in trouble.

The best thing to do is research the legal requirements before attempting this. The direct link is https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov I’ve never done cold calling so I’m not sure if they charge you to be a member or not.

You can buy leads from a company that generates leads for you.
But even these aren’t created equal. Some companies sell the same lead to 5, 10 or more people; even people in the same company as you and sell them for weeks, months or longer. You could end up with a lead that is 5 months old and been called by 10 or more people and is just plain tired of talking to people or has already joined a company and is quite happy with it. Some are also overpriced and use shady tactics to get people to sign up such as contest sites.

Or you could join a lead Co-Op that only sells the lead to you and generates it after you order meaning they are about 1-3 days old and only sold once. You want to make sure the company is reputable, been around for awhile and truly cares about their customers/members.

They should offer multiple lead packages, training on how to effectively contact those leads, multiple autoresponders to make contacting them for follow-up (the fortune is in the follow-up) and training them easier and a presentation to explain what network marketing/MLM actually is in case the person has never heard of the concept or your company doesn’t offer a recruiting site.

It would also help if the company has a pay plan so that as you refer your new downline to the great leads you use, you can create an extra income stream (or at least get them for free) and so can your downline. One such Lead Co-Op is http://www.bestmlmleads.biz

The thing to remember is that regardless of how the lead was generated these people asked for information on starting a home based business and you should make it your responsibility to get them the information as soon as possible. Unless you didn’t take my advice and used a spam CD; then you’re on your own.

Another thing to think about when choosing a method is will it be duplicatable to your downline and get consistent results? But that’s a subject covered in a previous article.

It is considered that to be successful in the Design and Decorating business, that nearly 90% of leads should come from referrals. Why do we constantly throw money at other forms of marketing, when a good referral system can give you the highest return on your investment and a consistent flow of leads?

You must adopt a referral mind set. Everything you do in your business should be to develop a system of getting referrals. Ten reasons to focus on referrals:

1) Unlike advertising, your results from a referral program can be easily measured. Referrals tell you exactly who referred them.

2) Referrals are the best return on your marketing dollar.

3) With every referral, your client is giving a great testimonial on your behalf.

4) Happy clients are the best sales force that a company can have, they become your advocates!

5) Each time a client gives you a referral, you have an opportunity to make them look like a hero.

6) A flowing pipeline of referrals puts you at ease.

7) Clients feel that they are reducing their risk of making a bad decision when they buy from a referral.

8) Phone messages to a new prospect usually gets returned if it comes through a referral.

9) Trust is obtained faster through a referral.

10) Referral marketing is your best opportunity to success!

You have heard of the lifetime value of a client? Think about the value when the same client gives you several referrals over time and those referrals give you referrals.

How do we generate referrals? First and foremost you must have an excellent client fulfilment system. Unless the job is done right, even your own mother won’t refer you!

Are you communicating often with your client before, during and after the job? This is critical to instilling the gospel of spreading the word, “We want referrals!”

I believe that you must get your clients to complain! If they don’t complain, you won’t know their problems and you can’t fix it. If one client is having a problem, maybe others are too. You may need to fix your system. Research shows, if clients don’t complain, they are likely to go quietly to the competition. Unhappy clients, tell others, a reverse referral.

In order to generate referrals you must find your “center of influence,” who is your target market? In our industry its women 35-65. Do you know that 85 percent of all consumer buying decisions are made by women. Your task is to find them, and to create a message that appeals to this segment.

How to find them:

1) Try Cross Promotional Networking and distribute brochures at other noncompeting businesses that serve the same clientele. Offer to cooperate and display brochures at your place too. If you don’t have a showroom, create a “Friends” book of useful and referable businesses.

2) Go to networking events of where women go. Don’t waste your time on trying to network to the wrong market. When you find such a group, have a great 10 second announcement to introduce yourself.

3) Offer your services as a speaker to women’s groups. Prepare a non-sales, informative decorating seminar. Organizations are always looking for interesting topics for their meetings.

4) Testimonials are a must for any handouts or web site content. The challenges I have heard are, that it is difficult and time consuming to get them. It shouldn’t be, in fact, the best testimonials are short quotes from your customers. “I love my drapes,” or “This is better then I expected!” and so on. Record the quotes, and the name of the customers on a page and don’t forget to ask for permission. Testimonials will instill confidence.

5) Print “I Love Referrals” heart stickers and put them on all your correspondence.

6) Create a Designer Referral Card System. Start with a thank-you card, a month later, send a referral card, and for each month keep in touch with your client with birthday cards, holiday cards, decorating idea cards. The more you stay in touch, the more she will remember you when someone asks for someone she knows to help them with decorating.

There are three types of referrals: 1) Unsolicited, from doing a good job. 2) Word of mouth, from people who know of you, but didn’t do business with you. 3) Solicited, from your clients after a job well done.

The Advocate Referral System

How do you ask your clients for referrals? During a visit after the installation, ask her:

*Was she happy with the value you have provided?
*Is there anything where you can improve to make the experience better?
*Is there future work to be done?
*Ask her for birthdays of her family members.
*Ask her for a name of a friend or family you can call.
*Have a small gift as a Thank you.
