MLM Gurus -- How Do They Do It Really?

Remember your first exposure to MLM? If it was like mine there was a larger than life guy in a 3 piece suit telling you about how if you just get 3 who get 3 etc. I fell for that line hard. They make it sound so easy.

Its a shame that 90% of whats taught in MLM should only be used for fertilizer. Here in the real world MLM is simply a marketing business where you get to share the profits of not only your work but also the work of those you teach and train.

So what does it really take to get to the Guru status in MLM? Well it takes a large downline and a bunch of customers but how do you actually get those?

You treat your MLM distributorship the same way that an owner of a marketing business treats their business. That is what you are -- the owner of a marketing business.

Your "job" that you signed up for is to market product to consumers and train others how to market product to consumers. Thats all that a legitimate MLM company wants you to do and they pay you really well if you are good at it.

So what do you need to know to be good at it?

These really arent optional for your MLM business. It also isnt realistic to expect to learn how to do all of this in days or weeks. Especially if you try to learn MLM the hard, expensive way -- by trial and error.

The good news is that you can acquire 75-90% of this information for free from the internet and your local library. Remember you are looking for information on marketing and business.

The bad news is that there are more books and websites that are full of misinformation, incomplete information, peoples opinions, conflicting information, and just plain fertilizer than there are books and websites about MLM that tell the truth.

I spent 8 years and over $15,000 discovering why companies require a masters degree (as a minimum) for their marketing department and most want you to have at least a minor in business. I recommend that you dont believe a word anyone says about MLM, including me, without proof.

So why bother learning all of this? Why would anyone want to go through the time, effort and energy to train themselves or get training to do all of these things just to build a MLM business?

I have heard many answers over the years.

I have heard many reasons why.  Mine is simple.

True Wealth, to me, is knowing I can build a river of cash simply by applying my skills and all I really need is a product or MLM opportunity and a way to communicate with my target market to build a marketing business that will -- at the very least -- pay the bills.

For anyone looking to make a mint in MLM that doesnt want to learn all about marketing and business: Get out now and spend your money on the lottery or gambling -- the odds are better than if you try to build a marketing business from scratch knowing nothing about marketing and business.

Network marketing is a form of business where salespeople market a line of products or a line of products independently. An independent salesperson gets recruited, this person in turn recruits other people, those people recruit more people, and the chain continues.

Its a good idea to include an RSS feed which will let the visitors to the blog to subscribe and leave their name and e-mail address so that you can contact them later.

A Wordpress blog software needs to be installed on the server. This will let the blogger have a lot of control and flexibility over his blog. One can also opt for plug-ins which will lead to greater online exposure.

So, if you are thinking of starting your own MLM business and consider internet as a useful medium, dont forget to blog.

People blog incessantly about their lives on blogs, so there can be no reason why you should not blog about your business if it is going to make it grow.

Ignoring the power of the blog may lead to leaving a lot of money on the table. You can build your team and recruit more members using this tool.
