After joining an MLM business, usually its seems like smooth sailing for a few days or weeks. You have plenty of leads--well, you have your family and friends--but those leads won't last forever. When you've run out of your list of leads, what do you do?

There are many,many network marketers out there who have more leads than they know what to do with. They are at a point to where they don't have to look for or buy leads at all--the leads come to them.

Now you might be asking yourself how are they able to pull this off? Basically they use a variety of lead-pulling techniques that anyone can use, some of which are actually free.

1.Website Content - If you decide to go this route, put up a website that not only has information about your business opportunity and products, but also features content that people searching for like articles,tools ect.

Many of the people who end up in network marketing do so by accident. They didn't go searching for an opportunity; one just sort of fell into their lap while they were searching for useful information.

2. Dangle the Carrot - Once you've drawn visitors to your site with free content, get their information so you can follow up. You've already led them this far; you just need to dangle the carrot and lead them a little further.

Make sure the information pertains to the content they came searching for. That way, since they wanted to see what your content was, they will also want whatever freebie you have to offer. Note...they have to give you their contact info first--at least their name and email address--in order to get any of the freebies you are offering. And as soon as you have that information, you have leads!

3. Start a Newsletter - The idea of recieving helpful information sent directly to you on a regular basis is a tempting offer for most Internet users. So why not create your own? You don't even have to write all the content.

You can ask other authors if you can use their articles, so you don't have to spend all your time on the newsletter. Be sure to include information about your products or opportunities in each issue, but don't display the ads too prominently. Otherwise subscribers will think your newsletter is just one big ad.

4. Buying Your Leads - One of the quickest ways to get leads is to buy leads. Of course, this is also one of the most expensive.Asking other network marketers who use this method would be an excellent way to find out the best lead sources.

Make sure the lists you're buying are of people who have truly expressed an interest in getting information. Otherwise, you'll be wasting your money because they will delete your message without bothering to read it.

5. Offer an Email Course - You can turn yourself into an instant MLM expert, as well as promote your opportunity, simply by offering an email course via multiple autoresponders. If you don't feel comfortable writing your own course, find a good copywriter to do it for you.

Make sure the course is not just a bunch of sales letters. They have to contain information your prospects really want. Pitch your products or opportunity briefly at the end of each course letter, or mention it occasionally in the body text.

6. Talk About It - Never pass up an opportunity to talk about your business or products. I don't mean talking to people while you're standing in line at the grocery store; you don't want to annoy people. But there are plenty of other ways you can talk about your business.

For instance, you could sign up in diffrent online forums and post and give advice to others who are asking and looking for answers to problems they may be facing in their business. From this interaction the subject of your business is bound to come up, but don't force it.

Establish yourself as an expert by talking about business and marketing related subjects, and when people find out what you do, they'll automatically be interested.

The right way to work from home online

Part 1 Illusions

I began to get involved in making money on the internet back to August, 2005. I still remember clearly how I felt at the very beginning. I was extremely excited to such an unreasonable extent that I thought I was going to make a fortune the next week.

My gold rush story began with a network marketing company that sells website package services. I affiliated with it thinking I would be a rich man by sending emails only. Two months later, I gained nothing in my downline but pains and frustrations. Then I quit.

The frustrations I had just experienced did not help me learn the truth about making money on the internet but rather magnify my wild illusions. I jumped into some "fancy" online program. I cannot even remember its name now.

The basic rule is that one "deposits" some cash in the program and the amount of cash generates really high interests in a given period of time.

For instance, one puts into $100 and gets back $110 one month later. I put my hard earned $500 into it and it was gone forever due to many chargebacks the credit card companies had received from the members of the site.

I could not get over losing $500, so I aimed at another such program. It promised its members they could get 12% interests from their deposits daily for 12 days. Well, the founder of this program was quite a figure then and seemed very authentic to many experienced online marketers. It had hundreds of thousands of members worldwide. I donated my hard earned money again, about $300.

Soon later, stormpay made pyramid scheme charges against the founder of this online program and they won the case. The incident made quite an impact on the internet. But I'd rather say the founders of such programs have no more faults than their members who want to make easy and quick money on the net. That is nothing but an absolute illusion.

Part 2 The setback

After I lost about $800 in my illusions, I came back to the company that sold website package services. I did this because I had my faith in it and I had a new upline sponsor who promised to help me recruit members. Though I'm still with this company now, my sponsor didn't fulfill his promise.

That's also the important advice I want to give to all the new online marketers. Do NOT expect your sponsor to do the work for you. You can sure ask your sponsor about how to do it, but if you want to succeed in this business, you have to do it yourself.

I turned to traffic exchange websites then. What are traffic exchange websites? You can submit your affiliate program referral web page to these websites and click on the referral links from others to earn credits. And these credits can bring clicks to your page, that is, some traffic to your referral web page.

If someone will sign up, they become your downline members. I put my efforts into traffic programs, but the results were not welcome. As you can imagine, most people in traffic programs want to sell something to somebody else. So I personally think it's not an effective way to expand your downline organization.

Then I chose to buy leads on other sites. I once spent around $70 only to recruit one new member. I became more impatient and put more money into improper advertising. Here's another important warning: Impatience is the No. 1 killer in online business.

Part 3 The Right Way

After I wasted 18 months and $1500, I began to realize the truth of working from home online. Many online millionaires are affiliates. This is the best way to make money on the net. Stick with one or two superior affiliate programs and do not be distracted. Working from home online is a business. If you want to get rich in one week or one month, you need to try gambling.

So I finally decided to build my own website so that I can put together my overviews of all my affiliate programs. Now I fully focus on increasing the ranking of my website in search engines. It's no way an easy job, but I know this is what I should do. To tell the truth, I knew nothing about SEO(search engine optimization) at first.

Now I've made myself an above-average expert and I'm still learning. My goal is to have my website listed on the first page at Google based on some high traffic search terms. Of course, building a site is not the only way to expand your online business. I know an online marketer who earns more than $20,000 per month only through calling leads.

All the successful marketers have something in common. They have patience and persistence. Many of them did not make any profits until 2 or 3 years later. If you're serious about working from home online, you should stick with a plan that suits you and do SOMETHING everyday. You're on the right way to your financial freedom.

So what are some of the perks to having a home based business?

To start, you can keep your own hours. Your schedule is as flexible as you are. Need to see the dentist? Make your appointment for whenever. No more waiting around for that first appointment of the day or trying to find an office open after five.

You might even save enough to buy your own cappuccino maker and say goodbye to your local $5-a-cup coffee shop.

Remember the last time you took your car in for a tune up and the mechanic told you to start car shopping, immediately. Just think of how long your vehicle will last without those daily trips to and from work. Save gas money, get your oil changed twice a year, never replace your tires again! All great perks of a home based business.

The government also gives home businesses fringe benefits in the form of tax breaks. Now, buying that computer you've been ogling for months is actually good for business, it can mean better tax breaks at the end of the year. Get money back for your telephone bill, rent and other overhead expenses. And believe it or not, it's completely legal.

The benefits of basing a business from your home are nearly countless. If a traditional office environment is leaving you stagnant, a home business may be just what the doctor ordered.
