Software product review

This week I would like to tell you about one of the best web design packages I have ever seen since I came online in 1998. Considering the many different and sometimes very expensive and VERY complicated design software packages like Frontpage, Dreamwiever, etc. the choices and decisions a web designer has to make in order to get a site online can be overwhelming.

When I started creating web sites I learned basic HTML. But that is not the easiest way to put a site online. So I have been using Stone's Webwriter for many years (and I still do). This is a HTML editor that can help you alot when designing basic sites, but when you want to develop a site with thousands of pages, Stone's Webwriter is not good enough anymore.

So, a few months ago I came across a web design software site that cort my eyes at one's. After seeing the demo video and reading through all the sales text there I was SOLD!

And after a few weeks I desided it was time to get serious and upgrade my web design software to something that really could handle the kind of sites I have always wanted to create.

Every time a new product or service is launched it is talked about. This interest that is created around a product is a kind of advertising- we could call it Viral Marketing. Word of mouth advertising can be effectively propagated firstly if the product has the potential to spread and if an interest can be generated around it.

This word of mouth publicity then needs to continue holding and increasing market attention, like a virus, till it has ensured the product's presence in the market.

Like all marketing campaigns, viral marketing also needs good strategy and planning. You should include the aspect of word of mouth marketing in your marketing strategy.

The most important part of viral marketing planning is to make sure that the product is used, talked about and recommended to others by the customer. Take this as an important part as your campaign. The rest of the product launch can be carried out according to the marketing plan you have decided on.

To capture and retain the attention of the customer try unusual and different ways to promote and sell your product. For example, a web company would be expected to market itself on the Internet and an offline marketing campaign would catch the people's attention, as it would be a different style of selling. To ensure that it will spread through word of mouth, make a campaign simple and catchy.

Offer an incentive reward to each person who refers a friend to your new product. Or, organize an online forum where people can talk about your product. You might also put a tagline on your product, like Hotmail did in their email signature, which advertised their free email service. Consumers read messages with the tagline at the bottom and learned about the service for themselves.

This ensures that the word about the product spread around the marketplace by word of mouth. Advertising of new feature films is a fine example of how viral marketing is used. Though it starts with an initial round of advertising in other forms, it is the contribution of viral marketing that makes the difference.

Multiple Income Streams - Is it the Answer?

Have you been spending a lot of time (and money) online searching for that "just right" opportunity that's going to allow you to work from home and escape the rat race?

Do you keep looking for the magic bullet, the ONE true program that is the answer to your prayers?

Well, perhaps you should begin to change your thinking.  For years and years, before the internet changed the way we do business, there was a school of thought that in order to achieve success in a home-based business you needed to find and promote just the right product or service that would bring financial security.

There are, of course, people today who are VERY successful in their own home-based businesses doing just that, but it's also possible to achieve a legitimate, long-term income by developing income from several different sources.  The concept of multiple income sources is not new; many people have been doing it for years.  After all, how many people do you know who have more than one job?  I know plenty!

The very same concept can be applied to your own business. Instead of promoting one opportunity, affiliate program, or product, why not a group of them?  You don't want to try and be a jack-of-all-trades, but with the very large number of affiliate programs as well as other income opportunities that abound online today, why not select a few complimentary programs and promote them with the many marketing options available.

It's possible, with some creativity and a good deal of organization, to develop multiple income streams. 

Here are a few ideas for you:

+ Promote a group of affiliate programs targeted to a specific audience

+ Develop another income stream from a few of the successful pay-to-surf and other similar programs

+ Use your skills to freelance for various companies, both online and off, that may need some part-time help (you can find a number of these positions through the various databases online) 

+ Produce a newsletter and begin selling advertising space in it when you reach a subscriber base of 1000 or greater

+ Develop your own product or service and offer it via a newsletter and / or website

With some ingenuity and careful research, you should be able to design a program that will fit your needs, interest and lifestyle.  Each option you employ will add a bit more to your income, and believe me, it can add up quickly!

Not only that, experiencing success with one or two programs will provide the encouragement that will keep you focused on your efforts.  Consistent promotion is the key, and nothing breeds success LIKE success!

People accusing you of sending spam?

People tend to forget their subscriptions. Sometimes they don't even know why they subscribed to your newsletter. Especially if the person is seeking for information, he/she will subscribe to every ezine or ecourse that will come across their search. They don't remember it after a while. If you send email to them after few months, they simply accuse you of sending spam.

So how to safegaurd yourself from this type of accusations?

1. Provide their personal details in every email:

On top of each email, put their email address, their ip number with which they subscribed, URL of the form where they subscribed, list name they subscribed. This way your subscribers are aware of that you have their details with their permission.

You only gets the subscriber ips when he/she subscribes using a form. If they subscribed using email addresses, the ip will not be grabbed by your autoresponder software.

2. Use Double opt-in:

Some of the marketers say that 'You have to make it easy for the subscriber to receive your emails'. So people tend to neglect to implement double opt-in. They think that it will be a hassle for subscriber to click on the confirmation link in the email. Remember one thing... if they are really interested they will click, not one... more than that to receive information from you. This type of list is best to target your information and to get some profits from it.

3. 'Unsubscribe' link:

Put 'Unsubscribe' link in every email in the footer area. Sometimes subscribers subscribe using subscriberATdomain.com, redirects his email to subscriberATdomain2.com. Then he tries to unsubscribe using second email, which obviously is not in your database and he can't be removed by your software. Then he/she will get upset that you are sending spam. So tell them that use the same email address that they used to subscribe, to unsubscribe. You can put this information under your unsubscribe link.

4. Privacy statement:

Create a tag in your autoresponder like [privacy_statement], if your software allows it. Then put this tag in all email below 'Unsubscribe' link. This privacy statement should be similar that you put on the subscription form web page. If your autoresponder software don't allow tags, then put url to your privacy satement on your web page.

5. Authentication Seals:

Recently I came across these sites where they provide email marketers a special code that goes with headers of your email(s), making them legitimate.
